Calder Memorial
Remis à la recrue
par excellence du circuit
(voté pas
l'association de la presse écrite du hockey professionnel)
À partir de la saison 1936-37 jusqu'à son décès
(1943), Frank Calder , président de la ligue, achetait un trophée chaque
année pour le joueur recrue de la saison. À sa mémoire, la NHL
présenta ce trophée qui allait être remis à la recrue par excellence du
circuit à chaque saison. Pour être éligible, un joueur ne doit pas
avoir joué 25 matchs ou plus lors d'une saison précédente et ne doit pas
avoir joué 6 matchs et plus lors des deux saisons précédentes.
Depuis la saison 1990-91, un joueur ne doit pas avoir atteint 26 ans avant
le 16 septembre de l'année ou il est éligible.
